What should I take? 620 or 680

I require one for my pre-req to get EA.

I caught the Vista test is a parcel simpler, might as well I run with the Vista test?

I would suggest you 70-680

because 70-270 exam is old and not much companies use windows XP now, so that you get its advantages also.
