Default grasshopper...

Ok for my 1st post I figure I better introduce myself. Though I have titled this "grasshopper" its not because I am young (mid 30's) it's because I am new to getting certifications.

A little more about myself:I will say I am not totally green to PC hardware, or computers in general. I have been building and repairing computers for 11 yrs. I also do some early computer programming (VB, C/C++) and run multiple operating systems (windows XP, Windows 7, and usually a couple flavors of Linux) which varies on which I use depending on my mood or what I am trying to do. I have done more than my fair share of structured wiring for networking, and average around 150 or so residental and small commercail networks a year. I have also done Wireless auditing and maintance for hotels and colleges.

With all this being said I am finally getting to studying for my A+ and have a targeted career (cert/possibly degree) goal. Ultimately I think I would like to get into database administration and would love some advice or guidance on the targeted track I should shoot for.

Recently in getting materials ready to study for my A+ I purchased Mike Meyers A+ certifcation book, and will possibly be also picking up scott muellers A+ cert book as well. From there I will definately be looking for advice on where to go next.
