Well!
Contemplate materials: 1) Running Linux (O'Reilly)--this was a great wide diagram of Linux and the essentials of sys/server administration...it was a small over 600 pages, but several weeks of perusing some each and every night made it go by really speedy 2) Exam Objectives contemplate controls gave by CompTIA (Exam Objectives)--I experienced this and drilled every target and described every prescribed catalogue of terms, then after that stretched that with applicable terms that weren't included...I peruse the man pages and faced regular utilize switches, peruse over the config files...etc. I hand composed it all for the reason that I contemplate preferable this way. 3) Practice exams (like Penguin Tutor @ PenguinTutor-Linux Tutorials and LPI Certification Practice Exams Quiz Start Page)--these furnished an exceptional plan of the usual headings the inquiries could take, to what degree they could nitpick, and so on. 4) google, google, and...more google! I have a SLED 11 machine taking care of business and a Win7 w/Ubuntu VM for home, so I had rehearse utilizing both dkpg and rpm based frameworks. I greatly propose this as you could probably get an empathize with the subtle departures betwixt the several mainstream frameworks, as there are approaches that relate to both...also also the actuality I am honestly luxurious utilizing both now. I began utilizing Linux at the finish of June and started designing up for this test about 2-3 weeks ago...I had to get this cert ASAP so I did what I had to pick up every last trace of this stuff, but I'm a brand new Sys Admin and the greater part of my crate |

I have also passed this exam. It seemed little bit hard to me. But anyway i have passed it in first attempt. The study materials which i used are running Linux by Matt Welsh, Lar Kaufman and a simulation exam from ucertify.com for this exam. I must say that ucertify’s simulation exam helped me much to perceive about the questions of real exam. I agree that practice exams help much in preparation. And now i am studying for RHCE exam.

I had to give more time studying for Linux+ than I did for my Network+. And it is very difficult to become a Linux administrator if one does not have the knowledge in Windows 7 and hardware. But still i am working as a programmer and not a sys admin. Then Linux+ will be a good step in career but now i am moving on for RHCSA. And i want to be a SA by taking all these.
